About us
In 2014 REACH Services saw the short comings of services offered to veterans in the Wabash Valley, out of that need REACH Veterans Services was born. Since that time, additional services have been established and extended to the community. That same year funds were raised, property was purchased, and 6 apartments were specifically built and furnished for aiding homeless and at risk Veterans in need. REACH Veteran Services also began operation a single bed veterans shelter at our location at 1400 Hulman that has to date housed over 50 individuals while they received intense case management from our staff of on-site case managers. Since that we continued to work diligently to expand our services and increase community awareness. Looking forward, REACH Veteran Services is looking to expand even more into the outlying parts of our community. We are looking to expand our role in homeless veteran assistance by expanding our shelter and case management services.

Community Initiatives
Annually REACH Veteran Services hosts and participates in Operation Vanguard, a homelessness challenge we host in November. This is our greatest outreach effort of the year, as we invite community members, veterans, politicians, and business people to come out and experience the harsh living conditions, and low morale that living out of doors in November bring. We find that individuals who have endured even a single night of the homelessness challenge have a very different opinion of homelessness when they leave Operation Vanguard.

Intecare SSVF
As of February 2017 Wabash Valley Veterans Services, and Intecare SSVF have been working together to create a “one stop shop” for veterans in our community. The combined resources of Intecare’s Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Grant along with Reach Services’ non-for profit flexibility; will allow us to swiftly and effectively meet our consumer’s needs on a broader scape.

Case Management
We have assisted over 85 this year veterans who were in need of case management services and direct aid (Ie assistance filing grants providing household items, food, or hygiene items) In addition our partnership with Disabled American Veterans Chapter 9 has provided them an administrative space where they helped an additional 100 veterans with filing their pension, disability and survivor’s benefits.
